pet peeve

It drives me insane that to open the packaging of newly purchased scissors, it requires scissors.

Reminds me of the book about how to improve your memory that I keep forgetting to look at

LOL I used to carry a small pocket knife so that I could open that packaging around toys for Munchkin.. now it seems you need a multi-tool with how they've got them strapped down.

best. scissors. ever. I'm completely in love with my pair.

(and also? once you do get them open? The edges of the packaging becomes a weapon in and of itself)

When my kid was about 4, we were trying to open something in one of those nasty plastic packages that will sit in a landfill for ten thousand years, and he looked up at me and said, "You know, you can't open anything in America these days without scissors."

I just managed to break a pair of brand-new scissors in my efforts to open up the package without scissors. And some days, EVERYTHING seems to (not) work out exactly this way...

What is up with that?
And they complain about plastic bags! What about all the plastic packaging for absolutely everything? It's not like the packaging can be reused...

kim ~ sort of like my "Unclutter Your Space with Feng Shui" book that is buried under a pile of other books?

mouse ~ I actually DID see a tool JUST for opening clamshell packaging the other day! It was at the counter when I bought the scissors LOLOL.

bibliogrrl ~ Yes, I love them. This is pair number two, that will live in the van.

carol ~ hahahaha

purloined letter ~ wow, that stinks. Well lucky for me, I did have scissors to open the scissors. But it still bugs me. And what a waste of packaging!
