Cyd Charisse passed away today.
I always loved her with Fred, because....well...I adore Fred.
But I reallllly loved her as the Party Girl.

Who DOESN'T love Fred? I used to like Gene Kelly better, but as I got older, I realized that Astaire's lean elegance trumped Kelly's masculine power any day.
I actually remember Cyd Charisse more for her unusual and lovely name than for her dancing. But I'm a philistine. :)
