freebie friday

Oooo, I'm getting to this A LOT later in the day than I intended....but that's because I spent a good portion of my day over at the new house trying to make it feel cozy. Kind of ridiculous given the fact that the electrician is still opening up the walls, but whatever. It felt good. I moved some stuff around, swept, straightened a few things up, watered the plants, picked up some garbage that had blown into the front yard (very windy here!), and worked on the curtains in the sun room.

So! The winner of last week's freebie (the meditation book and cd) is: ~Donna~ !!
Shoot me an email, with your snail mail addy! I'll send it toot-sweet!

Next thing! As with all of these items, they are all things I have, use, love.

This is one of those handy little bags that holds a cake of sock yarn or laceweight quite nicely, and it has a strap so that you can hang it from your wrist while you work. I've been using one often when I teach knitting at the senior center so that when I bounce around the room, I always have my project tagging along for the ride. I also use it just by setting it on the table in front of me or on the floor, and it keeps the animals (and their hair) out of my yarn.

What I dig about this bag is the way the flaps at the top snapped closed. I can get the yarn in and out easily, and the opening for the working yarn is big enough that it doesn't add tension.

Anyhow. That one's mine.

This one would be for you ;-)

I'll draw next Thursday night and announce the winner next Friday morning.

This bag would be great for the trip I am getting ready to take. I am getting ready for a trip to Disneyland which I have done many times without knitting but last year I took a sock project for while I was standing in line and it helped time pass so quickly, I was trying to figure out the smallest and easiest bag for me to use because last year had a few issues hanging on to everything on certain rides. This looks like the "ULTIMATE" solution.

Glad to hear that your dad is not as grave as you first thought. I'm holding out hope that I get to see you this Tuesday.

I like the design of this holder since you can take it in and out. Good find!

What a cute little bag! And in my favorite color too. Perfect for taking little projects on my daily BART commute. Glad to see your big remodeling projects on moving right along.

I already have a small project bag that I STILL use. It's the one you made me for the pay it forward project! I loves it!!

Don't need to be put into the drawing for that bag, but it sure is purty!

Ooo this would be perfect to take with me to Sacramento State in the fall. I'm going to look like a bag lady as it is, what with books, lunch, and knitting, but something this wee and stylish might just save me.

Oooh, the bag is so pretty! Also, I quite enjoy reading the adventures of the house. Glad it's you and not me dealing with all that.
